Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, competitor to Hyperloop One, announced a deal with the state of Andhra Pradesh in southeast India to build a hyperloop. “We are extremely delighted to have entered into a [memorandum of understanding] with the government of Andhra Pradesh to bring the HTT Hyperloop to India,” Bibop Gresta, chairman and co-founder of HTT, said.
The hyperloop will reduce the hour it takes to get from Vijayawada to Amaravati to just six minutes. It is estimated to be completed in abut a year.
