Serious security problems in Samsung’s Smart Home platform

Computer scientists at the University of Michigan have uncovered multiple vulnerabilities in Samsung’s Smart Home system that could allow attackers to carry out a host of remote attacks such as unlocking doors and setting off fire alarms. The researchers state that consumers should not rely on the system for security-critical components.
