According to a report, nearly one third of toxic electronic waste generated in the United States is being exported to developing countries where it is often dismantled by children. A non-profit organization from the United States, Basel Action Network (BAN), investigated how electronic waste is being handled after it has been dropped at collection sites in the U.S. by using GPS tracking devices.
