India: Air pollution kills 500,000 people each year

A new study indicates that air pollution in India is contributing to more than 500,000 premature deaths every year. According to the research, the economic cost of these premature mortalities is about 640 billion USD, which is ten times higher than the country’s total expenditure on health.
