Paris bans cars older than 19 years

In its latest attempt to tackle air pollution, the city of Paris, France, has announced it will ban cars that were built before 1997: From July 1, cars older than 19 years will not be permitted to drive in the city on workdays. Violations will cost from 35 up to 450 Euro.
