Although the International Olympic Committee has made the environment one of the dimensions of “Olympism”, the actual sustainability of its Games can be doubted. Various host cities, from Vancouver to Rio de Janeiro, has failed to deliver on their promises such as using clean energy – but there are a few bright spots as well.
