The United Kingdom will likely miss its targets on clean energy generation if no urgent actions are taken to accelerate the transition to renewable sources, the Energy and Climate Change Committee (ECC) has warned. According to Angus MacNeil, chairman of the committee, experts have stated that major policy improvements are needed in order to meet 15 percent of the energy demand with renewables by 2020.
