Reaching the SDG’s in 2030 – why we have to act now

Although incredible progress has been made throughout the past 40 years in terms of reducing poverty, enhanced education and health improvement, there still is an urgent need to act now. Otherwise people will be left behind and certain goals will not be achieved altogether. Each region has its own challenges and difficulties that need to be addressed. Especially these five of the 17 SDGs need a complete turnaround: reducing inequality, limiting slum populations, reducing waste, combating climate change and protecting marine environments.
