Extreme weather is occuring more frequent around the world due to climate change. As a response to that, the World Bank and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) established the Africa Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Strategic Framework 2016-2020. Organized in three pillars, knowledge, investment and partnerships, the document outlines strategies to improve disaster and climate resilience in sub-Saharan countries.
