Omnitracs and Peloton Technology are entering an partnership that connects Peloton’s truck platooning technology and Omnitrac’s fleet management solutions. The partnership also aims at developing a joint solution that combines safety, efficiency and fleet management capabilities. Peloton’s technology synchronizes braking and acceleration between two trucks and enables them to travel safely at certain distances. The trucks are synchronized through integrated vehicle-to-vehicle communications with radar-based collision avoidance systems.
