A room that charges devices wirelessly

Scientists at Disney Research have constructed an entire room that can wirelessly charge 10 objects at a time. You simply have to walk inside with your smartphone in your pocket and the charging will start. The scientists have made tests in a prototype living room which lead to the result that around 1900 watts of energy can be safely delivered. Depending on where the object is, it has an efficiency level of 40 to 95 percent which charges phones, lamps, fans and other electronic devices. In the middle of the room is a copper pipe and the walls are built with specialised aluminium panels running from the floor to the ceiling. This facilitates a permanent power supply. 15 capacitors are installed in the middle of the pipe, and these are connected to a generator installed outside the room to produce a uniform magnetic field. People cannot get too close to the pole which means in-built sensors have to be installed so it can tell when someone gets too close and it can shut itself down, or some kind of design that forces people to keep their distance.
