ADAC report calls for retrofitting of diesel engines

The Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club (ADAC) has conducted research on emissions of diesel cars, and the results are bad news for the recent diesel greenwashing campaigns by car manufacturers. None out of 188 tested cars met the Euro 6 emissions standards that have been in place since 2013.

The ADAC is now calling for a retrofiting of existing diesel engines to bring them into compliance with existing regulations. In addition, Euro 7 standards will be even stricter, urging the European Car Manufacturers Association (ACEA) to rethink their greenwashing strategy.
