Starting in the second half of 2017, iRobot’s WiFi enabled vacuums in the US can be controled using Amazon’s Alexa voice control though any of the Alexa devices which include Amazon Echo, Amazon Echo Dot or Amazon Tap. The Roomba which will support this feature include Roomba 960 and Roomba 980 and it is expected that all future models will be WiFi-enabled. There is also a possibility in the future to include virutal assistants using Google Home.
