One of the most valuable technology company in the world, Apple has been granted a permit by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. The permit allows the company to test three 2015 Lexus RX 450h vehicles and six people have been authorized to take control of the vehicle if necessary. Although Apple has not made its self-driving project public, Tim Cook the CEO of Apple however, had told the investors, ” We are always looking at new things, and the car space in general is an area that it’s clear that there are a lot of technologies that will either become available or will be able to revolutionize the car experience.” Apple has entered the league of 29 other companies who have received similar test permits in the last few years.
