According to a new report of Greenpeace, Apple is the most environmentally friendly major tech company of the world. Apple, Google and Facebook have the highest scores in the report. The new Apple headquarter will run completely on renewable energy with an estimated 700,000 square feet of solar panels. The whole IT sector has an estimated account for 7 percent of global electricity and its rapidly rising so it becomes important that companies commit to sustainability. Greenpeace’s report notes that Apple and Google continue to lead the sector in matching their growth with an equivalent or larger supply of renewable energy.
