Apple has joined forces with component supplier Ibiden to operate all of their manufacturing in Japan with renewable energy. By the end of 2018, the companies want to produce clean energy equal to taking 400,000 cars off the road per year. Apple is already powering 93 percent of its operations with renewable energy, and the trend is only going upwards.
