With the help of a new radar system, flying cars and delivery drones do not seem to be a long way away anymore. Echodyne, a US-based startup, has published results of tests of its MESA-DAA radar system, a sense and avoid technology. While the technology cannot be applied (yet) due to the legal framework, this technological progress marks an essential step on the way to autonomously flying vehicles.
