With more than 32,000 new electric cars registered in China, BAIC EC180 leads the way to become the most favourite electric car with around 4,352 units sold last month. The domestic players own upto 93% of the electric vehicle market in China leaving only 7% for the foreign automakers with Tesla owing the market size of 6% and the rest of the automakers sharing the remaining 1%. The top 5 best-selling models of APril include BAIC EC180, Zhidou D2 EV, Kandi K17 EV, Geely Emgrand EV, and BYD e5.
