US intelligence and law enforcement agencies are calling for the use of big data to predict and prevent crimes, terror attacks and other security threats. In many cases information and hints exist that point to some kind of threat, but they are not connected. The hope is to find crucial clues with the help of big data technology which can collect and analyse the millions of bits of information.
