Ofo, one of China’s most successfuly start-ups, is planning to establish itself in India within the coming year. The start-up, worth $2 billion, is at the moment conducting extensive research on the existing infrastructure, legal background and other foreign investment in the transport sector. This is necessary in order to adapt Ofo’s system to the local market. Currently, Ofo’s app allows users to track the location of the bikes and to (un)lock and lock them for an hourly fee of $1.
