Biofuel specialist GENeco unveiled its new innovative Bio-Bee truck yesterday, offering companies a chance to sign up to recycle their food waste. The Bio-Bee is the first vehicle in the UK to both collect and run on commercial food waste.
The vehicle first collects the waste, and then drives it to GENeco’s anaerobic digestion plant. There, the food waste is processed and turned into low carbon biogas, which is then brought into the grid or used as fuel for the very same Bio-Bee trucks that collected the waste in the first place.
