Delphi Automotive became the latest entrant into the advanced autonomous systems development group which consist of Intel Corp.., BMW AG and Mobileye. The group is working on developing advanced autonomous system technology which can be used across the industry for Level 4 and 5 autonomous vehicles. Along with providing a broader industry perspective on deploying technology across industries, Delphi is expected to add expertise in hardware integration and computing power. Klaus Fröhlich, BMW board member, said, ” From the very beginning we designed our cooperation on a non-exclusive platform for this technology of the future. With the onboarding of Delphi we significantly strengthen our development of the automated driving and do a future step in spreading this technology across the industry.”
