British Prime Minister Theresa May is visiting India. Part of the agenda is to work bilaterally on a number of areas of mutual interest at the UK-India Tech Summit. Technological possibilities for smart cities is the major issue of the gathering. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi just launched a smart cities initiative last year. The Prime Minister meeting is about making urban settlements technologically feasible and esuring connectivity and communication by using latest information technologies. Still some aspects are missing like how cities may also be ecologically smart and secure essential needs of their habitants such as clean air and drinking water. Water supply and water security are major topics by themselves. Moreover all groups living in a certain place have to be considered when making plans of smart cities.
