BYD as one of North America’s largest electric-bus manufacturers unveiled its first 45-foot battery-electric commuter coach bus at APTA Expo 2017. BYD is leading in offering seven battery-electric coach and bus models, more than any other manufacturer in the North American market today and with more than 27,000 electric buses in service around the world. Responding to the large demand of electric busses, BYD has extended its manufacturing facility in California, allowing the company to produce 1,500 battery-electric buses annually.
