California ARB invites applications for a $6M Car Sharing and Mobility Options Pilot Project

With an aim to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and reap other associated benefits, The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has invited applications for the implementation of the Car Sharing and Mobility Options Pilot Project for Fiscal Year 2016-17.  The four basic car-sharing models suggested by  CARB are Traditional Car Sharing, Carpooling/Vanpooling, Combination Car Sharing and Vanpooling, Dial-a-ride/ Ride-sharing, and Operational enhancements. The agency also plans to consider other models with a central feature of all the projects being the introduction of advanced technology vehicle sharing into Disadvantaged Communities.
