As a part of a worldwide coalition committed to climate actions, the Chinese city of Chengdu shows how an ambitious action plan for becoming a low-carbon city can be put into practice. With a population of over 14 million people and a history of rapid urbanisation and industralisation, Chengdu suffered from increased gas house emissions. With the help of a four-step action plan as well as sytematic planning, however, it started to manage the implementation of its climate commitments quite successfully.
