The chinese cabinet has issued a new climate plan that aims at reducing the carbon emissions by 18 percent compared to the 2015 levels until 2020. The State council states coal consumpotion must be cut by about 4,2 billion tons until then while non-fossil fuel energy generation capacity like hydro- and nuclear power are expanded.
