As China is expanding its maritime ambitions, the country is also taking promising steps towards keeping air pollution in control. The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is projecting that air pollution from ships, so much so that they will double by 2050.
China is now taking action to reduce its carbon intensity levels. After a mid-term review of the first phase of its Air Pollution Control Action Plan, the Chinese are now moving towards the ambitious goal of preventing urban smog.
