The European Commission, DG Environment is building a core group of cities to consult for the strategy development for the upcoming Urban Water Agenda 2030. As ICLEI and EUROCITIES were chosen to create a strategy and work plan, the participating cities will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the Agenda. The goal is to speed up implementation of EU water policies and legislation, especially the EU Water Framework Directive and the Floods Directive.
