Can a cycling app help to increase the number of cyclists? Image source: Shutterstock (#151729025)
CityConnect, in a cooperation with the University of Bradford’s Digital Media Working Academy, aims to incentivize using your bike for transportation more often with an app that creates an immersive augmented reality. The app will put a lot of stress on traffic safety, letting users earn points for following rules in a playful way. The developers hope to enhance the cycling experience this way to make people travel greener. A finished prototype will be presented at the Cycle City Active City conference on May 11th and 12th.
