After a difficult start Copenhagen’s bicycle-sharing system is gaining in popularity. In 2015 the electric bikes were hired for only 169,834 rides. In 2016 the number increased to over more than 700,000 trips. Especiall young people from age 25-35 use the electric bycicle-sharing systems. In the city there are 103 charging stations and 1860 bicycles for hire which are well equipped.
