AT&T, in a cooperation with the Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA), have now brought their Smart Cities program to Dallas to start the DIA Smart Cities Living Lab. Challenges resulting from the size of the city and employment market will be tackled with AT&T’s smart cities framework. The city of Dallas will be provided with a platform to connect entities from different sectors, and to connect to citizens. Smart city solutions that are to be introduced are, for example, Intelligent LED Lighting for street lights, an Interactive Digital WayPoint to make information accessible to citizens, and Environmental Sensors to detect and combat pollution.
