Didi Chuxing, the largest ride-hailing company in the world and Chinese counterpart to Uber and Lyft, is advancing fast to cement their position as an industry leader. Backed by several big companies such as Tencent, Alipay, Alibaba, Apple, Baidu, and the Chinese sovereign wealth fund. Didi Chuxing is fighting on multiple fronts.
The company has plans to create its own electric car charging network, is collaborating with NEVS for a goal of one million electric self-driving cars, and has recently become a partner in Changan Automobile Group’s $15 billion Shangri La electric vehicle transition plan. They also already have the world’s largest EV ridesharing fleet.
