During the times of disaster, rescue forces often face a grave challenge of maintaining a steady water and food supply. Water-Gen, an Israeli firm known for creating water out of thin air may provide a solution to these challenges. The firm participated in a five-day simulation exercise in Indianapolis and Chicago where they employed the technology to ease the victims trapped in hotel buildings that collapsed due to tornadoes. Maxim Pasik, chairman of Water-Gen said, This experience is invaluable for us, from the training with military personnel to the understanding of how all the emergency organizations work together. Other participants include ZAKA’s International Rescue Unit and the National Search and Rescue Unit of IDF’s Home Front Command. Pasik further added,” Water-Gen and ZAKA emergency preparedness training is ever-evolving, and we thank the US military for ensuring we are more prepared to save lives and offer relief efforts if needed.” The Indiana National Guard also added that the program,” is an opportunity for members of the military and local responders to share best practices for critical tactics, techniques and procedures in response to natural disaster”.
