In order to stimulate the use of high performance supercomputing, the US Department of Energy is awarding nearly $3.9 million for 13 projects which includes the awardees Ford Motor Company and LanzaTech. The partnerships for world-class computing resources include Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory (LBNL), National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). Arconic Inc., GE Global Research, Applied Materials, Inc., 7AC Technologies, Sierra Energy, 8 Rivers Capital, The Timken Company are among other partners. Each of the partners will receive upto $300,000 to support their work.
