Around 73 grants, totaling about $72 million to 68 small businesses in 24 states by the US Department of Energy. DOE’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) will be responsible for dispersing the grants in the latest selections for Phase II research and development. These grants will be granted to the small businesses that demonstrated technical feasibility for innovations during their Phase I grants. The awardees include Visolis Inc., Trash2Cash-Energy LLC, Sepion Technologies, Faraday Technologies, Reaction 35 LLC etc. among others.
