The National Environment Agency and the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority in Singapore developed an e-book that offers a step-by-step guide for restaurants, food courts and hotels to develop waste reduction plans. These plans include using smart technologies and redistributing excess food products. In terms of donating excess food more can still be done, though. Reducing food waste is also economically reasonable because it saves costs.
