The U.S. company Rocky Mountain Power received a 4 million USD grant from the U.S. Department of Energy in order to develop 1,500 miles of electric highway along the Interstate 15, 80, 70 and 84 which cover parts of eastern Idaho, Utah and southern Wyoming. Every 100 miles there will be a fast charger for EVs. The construction will start this year and take about three years to be completed. The money is also supposed to be invested in programs to encourage electric car-sharing and the use of E-bikes and buses.
