EV expected to be one third of world cars by 2040

The research company IHS Markit has published a study which finds that by 2040 electric cars expected to make up one third of world’s cars. However, the number of electric vehicles on streets around the world is still small, it is only one percent. Their sales have increased enormously during the past six years. The company’s overall aim is determine whether the spread of electric cars will herald a new era of vehicles.
