Five solar projects to power Amazon cloud data centres

Amazon will construct five new solar power farms to help power AWS cloud data centres. They are expected to generate power of 580,000 megawatt hours per year and contribute to Amazon’s goal to power AWS cloud services only with sustainable energy. The efficient cloud data center provided with sustainable energy will reduce businesses’ power needs by up to 84 percent and their carbon footprint by 88 percent.
