Food security is a prerequisite for a sustainable future as well as a huge market opportunity for businesses. A new diet guideline is needed which focuses on localized production and a more varied source of proteins aside from meat. Meat production and consumption is one of the greatest carbon emission producers. Based on the fact the food demand of every human being could hypothetically be covered, food waste must be radically reduced. Smart farming is another essential element in this context and a profitable business opportunity, as well.
