Ford, in a partnership with Ekso Bionics, has developed the EksoVest, an assistive upper-body exoskeleton that reduces the chance of fatigue and injury for workers, and helps with overhead tasks. This way, assembly line workers can be far more efficient.
“The end result is a wearable tool that reduces the strain on a worker’s body, reducing the likelihood of injury, and helping them feel better at the end of the day – increasing both productivity and morale,” said Russ Angold, co-founder of Ekso Bionics.
