As part of the international city redevelopment project Reinventing Cities, Paris wants to transform three bridges over the Seine into garden-like green areas with cafes, shops and offices built in.
The bridges would be free of cars, and only pedestrians and cyclists would help in building density in the city’s center. Piloting the program is the C40 Cities group, and right now, applicants are invited to tender projects for the three bridges.
