Senvion signed its first contract with one of the large Indian independent power producers (IPP). The total order includes the delivery of 220 wind turbines having a total power generation capacity of more than 500 MW. They will be able to generate enough renewable energy to meet power demands of more than 700,000 households in India. The turbines are expected to be installed from the end of 2017 until 2019. Shortly after signing the contract in India, Senvion has received an order from the Australian Pacific Hydro company, which is based in Melbourne, for the 28,7 MW South wind project in Victoria. The installation of 14 turbines will be completed by the end of next year. All in all, they will produce power to supply electricity to almost 16,000 homes.
