Germany is continuously proving to be a leading example on how the nations can adopt the renewable to meet their energy needs. On April 30, Germany itself created a national record when 85% of all its electricity was produced from renewable sources such as wind, solar, biomass and hydroelectric power. “Most of Germany’s coal-fired power stations were not even operating on Sunday, April 30th, with renewable sources accounting for 85 per cent of electricity across the country. Nuclear power sources, which are planned to be completely phased out by 2022, were also severely reduced,” Patrick Graichen of Agora Energiewende Initiative said.  With the support from chancellor Angela Merkel herself and the German public, government’s initiative Energiewende is expected to be a huge success by the year 2030.
