Golden Concord Holdings (GLC), one of China’s biggest renewable energy company, and state-owned China National Machinery Corporation (Sinomach) plan to spend about 1 billion USD over the next two years on a 2,500 hectar solar farm that should be built on the contaminated land in Chernobyl. GLC will supply and install the solar panels and Sinomach will build and run the plant. However the safety measures adopted during the construction have not been disclosed yet neither by the Ukraine nor by China.
