Piaggio Fast Forward, an offshoot of the Vespa manufacturer, Piaggio, has designed an autonomous personal cargo carrier robot called “Gita”. The robot looks like a large blue ball with two bicycle wheels attached. It is entirely battery-powered and can move up to 35 kph. The robot is designed to follow a human operator or move autonomously in a mapped environment. Gita is 66 cm tall and has a obstacle-avoidance technology. It can carry up to 18kg and has a lockable lid.
