General Motors has got plans for autonomous driving. The company aims at implementing the technology that is why it has acquired “Cruise Automation”. A new report suggests GM aims at deploying a around 1000 of autonomous Chevy Bolt EV with Lyft, a ride sharing service, next year. GM invested 500 million USD in Lyft a year ago to start the self-driving project. The first autonomous taxi/ride-sharing service is planned to be put into operation by January 2019. Until then the project has to overcome regulatory barriers.
