Two years after Gothenburg, Sweden first launched its program ElectriCity, they are now planning on expanding their fleet with two electrically powered high-capacity buses. Additional to that, heavy-duty vehicles are also scheduled to operate in an extended demo arena for a quiet emission free city traffic.
First, the testing phase of the electric vehicles was scheduled to end in 2018, but was now extended to 2020 with an additional two electric buses. The new vehicles will be equipped with charging infrastructure and bus stop facilities for electrified high-capacity traffic.
