In Mexico City an innovative company “Verde Vertical”/Vertical Gardens builds vertical green spaces along walls that enhance aesthetics and combat smog. Vertical gardens produce oxygen and help filter heavy metals and dust from the air. The company uses a cloth made from recycled plastic bottles and supported by old toothpaste tubes to attach plants to structures like heavily trafficked bridges.
